Who is this Erik person?
Well, that would be me. Nice to make your acquaintance.
(well not quite yet, but maybe soon?)

So let’s start with the basics:
My name is Erik Nordholm, the nordic sound of that comes from my father being from Sweden. I was born and raised in Austria though, so my knowledge of the Swedish language is unfortunately very minimal.
But luckily for everyone I have other talents. My family encouraged my early love for drawing and has enabled me to develop my skills in many different fields of creation. In 2017 at the age of 19, I graduated from the HTL Bau und Design in Innsbruck where I received a thorough education in graphic design (as well as regular boring education).
After one year of civilian service (in place of military service) and three years studying at FH Salzburg I received my bachelor’s degree in 3D Animation.
After that I spent four years working as a 3D artist at Rabcat Game Art for projects like Fortnite, Valorant and 2XKO.
My interest in 3D Animation started quite early and I first used the open-source software Blender vaguely at the age of 13. Since then I have spent countless hours learning about the program from various internet sources and experimenting on my own. And even though I have used Maya daily during my job at Rabcat Game Art, I almost always use Blender for any of my personal 3D projects.
I am constantly expanding my knowledge of different tools and methods and am always excited to learn new things and discover new technologies that can be used creatively.
In my spare time I like to play games of all sorts, from board- and card games to console and PC games (the early Assassin’s Creed games were a big reason I sparked an interest in 3D animation).
But these days it’s just as likely to find me tinkering with my 3D printer or trying out something new like photogrammetry.
So yeah… that’s me… If you’ve read this far you must be really eager to get in touch, so here you go:
